Manual Setup: To begin with manual setup, you should have a few details in your hands such as incoming server and outgoing server details. Another thing that you need to have is ‘SSL Settings’ for SBCGlobal email account.
- Now, you need to go ‘Settings’ and then, ‘Outgoing Server’. There will be an option named ‘My Outgoing Server Requires Authentication’, so click the box corresponding to it.
- As you do so, click ‘Finish’ to complete the setup and then, click the ‘Next’ option.
- If you are using MS Outlook 2010 and want to perform manual settings there, then go to ‘Tools’ option in MS Outlook window followed by ‘Email Account’ and then, click ‘Add new mail account’ option.
- Click ‘Next’.
- You need to select IMAP or POP3 settings, depending on what your personal preference is. After that, give your email account a name, and this name will be seen by your contacts upon receiving your email.
