There is a wide range of things in an email service that most people like you and me are not aware of. But, it is not necessary to stay familiar with most of those things because those are of no use. Today, we will discuss one such feature that is present in email services including SBC email.
This feature is known as ‘threads’, and it is a feature that allows you to go through interesting topics and conversations. But, at times, threads could be very annoying, therefore, it is better to skip reading the information that you aren’t interested in reading. You can easily ignore threads, and nothing will change in your email account, as you will be able to read your emails in the exact same as before. If you aren’t able to read your emails, then take SBCGlobal support from experts.
How to ignore the thread?
If you want to ignore a thread, then all you have to do is select a particular message and then, select ‘ignore thread’. You can also press ‘K’ button on your PC’s keyboard, as this is the shortcut for ignoring the thread. When you select ‘ignore thread’ option, then all your messages are going to be selected, so what you will have to do is, you have to un-select the messages that you want to keep.
The ignored messages are not going to be deleted, but when you return to the folder, then you won’t be able to see the messages in the thread pane. This is a default setting, so if you wish to see your messages, then you will have to change the option from the SBCGlobal POP settings menu. In case, you are getting more replies to the conversation that is going on in the thread that you’ve selected, then those replies are not going to trigger any notification. You won’t see any notification for the messages that are in the conversation that you’ve blocked.
How to ignore sub-thread?
The process to ignore threads and sub-threads are quite similar. If you want to ignore a sub-thread, then you will see only those messages getting ignored that are responses to the sub-thread starting from the selected message. You will be able to ignore conversations, which include the conversations of your choice, which has gotten off-topic from a certain response.
Can you see ignored threads?
Yes, if you have changed your mind, and are looking to see ignored threads again, then you can, but for a temporary period of time. Go to view > threads > ignored threads. After checking the threads, you can stop seeing those threads if you are not interested. For that, you need to uncheck view > Threads > ignored threads. All these changes can be made after you do ATT.net email login in a proper manner.
You can also un-ignore threads that you have marked as ignored earlier. For that, select the message in a thread followed by unchecking the message and then, selecting ‘ignore thread’. With this, you can un-ignore any message in the thread.
